Join us October 24th 2026 for an extra special Christian’s 4th Annual Birthday 5k
Come enjoy a morning filled with laughter and love with friends and family, celebrating Christian’s true birthday and life!
We know what you might be thinking. “I don’t even run! I couldn’t possibly do a 5k.” Well we’re here to tell you that’s where you’re wrong!
Set up to be as family friendly as possible, this 5k is more like a fun-run. Walk, bike, run, roller blade, scooter, or bring a stroller. We just want to see you there!
What is this all for?
In April of 2023 tragedy struck our hearts and lives. Christian passed away and our worlds turned upside down. I felt I needed to do something to celebrate his life and thus this 5k was born.
Friends and family from all over the cities and even out of state come together to celebrate his birthday, share good memories, laugh, love on each other and have a good time.
The proceeds we raise from this go directly to Kennedy Track and Field and Show Choirs to pay for students fees and equipment through the Christian Thompson Memorial Fund. Track and Show Choir were both huge parts of Christian’s life and things he loved to do!
In 2023 we raised over $2000 to split between the activities!
– 2024 it was even more at almost $4000
– 2025 was (you guessed it) even MORE at over $6000!!
That is making a MAJOR impact on these students lives.
Registration
Pre-registration will be open soon
Registration at the event will be $20 per person (Payable through Venmo, cash or check)
Please note that if you choose to pay through Venmo and do not submit payment by October 23rd at 6:00 pm CST you will be asked to pay day of pricing when you check in.

Where?
Oak Point Elementary School in Eden Prairie. We will have access to restrooms inside the school this year! Click here for a map and where to park.

When?
October 24th 2026, You can show up as early as 9:30 am. 5k begins at 10:30 am.
How can I pay?
Payments can be made through Venmo (christiansbday5k) or in cash or check at the event.
Note that if you choose to pay through Venmo and do not submit payment before October 23rd at 6:00 pm CST, you will be asked to pay day-of pricing for registration.

There will be another auction this year with different Minnesota teams merch/memorabilia and raffle with fun prizes! There will be coffee from Starbucks in the morning and snacks, refreshments, and dessert for afterwards!

Will I receive a receipt for my payment/donation?
Receipts will not be sent out upon payment. Please keep track of your donation for your records.
